Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can you build this? 

   Probably. But rather than trying to copy someone else’s design, how about we do our own spin on a theme? 

2. How much would this cost?

   Every piece I make is a combination of raw materials, tool wear, supplies, and labor. 

3. How long would it take to build this?

   I woodwork in the evenings after my regular job and on weekends. Build times can range from a couple of days to a couple of weeks depending on the complexity of the build and how much time it takes to apply the finish. 

4. What types of wood do you use? 

   I prefer to use hardwoods whenever possible. Occasionally I’ll use pine if it suits the project and budget. 

5. Where do you get your lumber? 

   I try to use as much salvaged local hardwoods as I can. Sometimes I will purchase lumber from local dealers if I don’t have any dry lumber on hand. 

6. Can you do something with epoxy resin? 

   Yes! It’s really fun to work with and allows a splash of color that you can’t get from wood. 

7. How long have you been woodworking? 

   On and off for several years with serious practice staring in 2020.
